Inside the book
What Little Pianist 2 is
Book 1 is a songbook. This one is the lesson book: it teaches your child to sit, find the keys, read the staff and keep a beat, then gives them 30 songs to use it all on.

Nine short lessons, one idea per page
Posture, hand position, Middle C, the grand staff, note names, rhythm, sharps and flats, and the black keys. Each lesson is a page or two, written in words a five-year-old follows, with a picture for every instruction.

Reading music instead of guessing
The staff is introduced as a neighbourhood with landmark notes, so children learn where notes live rather than memorising finger patterns. Note names stay printed on the early songs and fade as reading improves.

Rhythm taught by three animals
Eddie the Elephant walks in quarter notes, Sally the Sloth stretches for two beats and Leo the Lion lounges for four. Clap-along games turn counting into play, so rhythm sticks before the first song.

Sharps, flats and the black keys, without the fear
Hiking boots for sharps, slippers for flats, and a keyboard map for every example. By lesson nine a child can name any key on the piano.

Then 30 songs to play, each with free audio
Classical, folk, nursery rhymes, hymns and carols, easiest first, with finger numbers and a keyboard map at the top of every piece. Scan the code in the book to stream or download each recording.
Lessons, not just songs
Posture, hand position, Middle C and the grand staff, taught in small steps a child can follow alone.
Games and characters
Eddie the Elephant, Sally the Sloth and Leo the Lion turn rhythm and note reading into play.
Both hands from the start
Every song uses treble and bass clef, so good habits form from the first lesson.
Free audio
Recordings of the songs, free to stream or download.
Free audio with every book

What age is Little Pianist 2 for?
From about 5 up. It teaches from the very beginning, so no prior lessons are needed. Older children and adults who want a gentle start use it too.
Do we need book 1 first?
No. Book 2 is the lesson book and starts from scratch. Book 1 is a songbook, so the two work well side by side: learn a concept here, then play more songs there. The Complete Kids Set has both.
Does my child need a teacher?
No. The lessons are written for learning at home, in small steps, with games instead of drills. Teachers use it as a first method book too.
How do I get the free audio?
There is a link and QR code inside the book. Enter your email and the recordings are available straight away. You can also get them here.
Will it work on a keyboard?
Yes. Any piano or digital keyboard works.
How long does shipping take?
