A quick tour of the book
Flip through Little Pianist with us: the size of the print, how the songs are laid out, and how they build from the first page to the last.
- Large, clear print a child can read from the bench
- Both hands from the very first song
- 55 songs, easiest first, every one with free audio
Both hands from song one
Every piece is written for the right and left hand together, so children learn real technique instead of one-finger playing.
A present that gets used
A favourite birthday and Christmas gift for young beginners. The first songs are playable on day one, so it does not sit on a shelf.
Note names and finger numbers
Letters above the notes and finger numbers in the tricky spots on the early songs. The letters fade out as reading improves.
Free audio for every song
All 55 tracks are free to download, so your child can hear how a piece should sound before playing it.
Free audio with every book

Which book is right for your child?
Little Pianist is the songbook. The set pairs it with book 2, and the other two are favourites with the same families.
Questions parents ask
What age is Little Pianist for?
Most children start it between 5 and 9. A child who can read letters can play the first songs, because the note names are printed above the notes. It is also used by adult beginners who want familiar tunes. For a colour-coded first book for the youngest players, see Play by Color; for adults, see Primo Piano.
Does my child need a teacher?
No. The book is written for learning at home: songs are ordered from easiest to hardest, the early pieces show note names and finger numbers, and every song has an audio track so your child can hear how it should sound. Teachers use it too, as a first repertoire book.
How do I get the free audio?
Inside the book you will find a link and QR code. Open it, enter your email, and the 55 tracks are available straight away. You can also get them here.
What is the difference between Little Pianist and Little Pianist 2?
Little Pianist (this book) is a songbook: 55 pieces, easiest first. Little Pianist 2 is a lesson book with games, exercises and 30 songs. They work well together, and the Complete Kids Set bundles both.
Will it work on a keyboard?
Yes. Any piano or digital keyboard is fine; the songs stay within a beginner's range.
